COMIC-CON: ‘The Avengers’ teaser poster

If you’re a diligent get-spoiled-ASAP type, you’ve probably already seen the teaser trailer for “The Avengers” (which plays as a button on the end of “Captain America: The First Avengers”). Marvel may not have a presence here in San Diego this year, but of course they’ll take advantage of the assembled (no pun intended) by dropping a little material from the film. So, the teaser poster will do. Check out the full image after the jump.

Eh. I suppose this was worth printing, but a teaser poster should be like ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.

i hate how as soon as the dark knight rises poster comes out, everyone thinks that posters should all look like that. that poster isn’t even that special.

But Fitz, you just have to look closer! If you open the image in Photoshop and brighten it and play around with the contrast and color you can clearly make out Thor’s hammer. If you then set it to black and white and look at the image through a mirror, the illusion of Captain America shield will be obvious. Finally, if you now flip the mirror image upside down and zoom in 1000x on the upper left corner, you can just make out the iconic smirk of Tony Stark.

Damn this is one awesome teaser poster.

Maybe I’m not too familiar with the Avengers logo, but I can’t even see what this is supposed to be. Of course, an A, but if I didn’t know that this was for the Avengers, I’d never be able to guess it.

    Dumb. Predictable. Unintriguing.

Hasn’t the ‘close-up on the logo’ thing been done over and over and over?
