Updates to The Circuit

A few things.  First, I don’t think I ever pointed out the Vancouver critics’ picks.  The DGA announced nominees for documentary filmmaking and Tyler Perry owned the NAACP Image Award nominations.

Why did Justin Timberlake get an NAACP nomination? What am I missing?

stuff I’ve learned from the Image nominations:

    – Justin Timberlake is black or even just a bit black.

    wtf stuff:
    – what is Kids Are All Right doing in the BP line-up?
    – why was Whoopi Goldberg (worst performance in Colored Girls imo) nominated and not Miss Loretta??

I love how the Iowa Critics could not be less relevant to the season, yet they make us sweat it out by announcing last. Prediction: They’ll go for “The Social Network”.

@Joseph, I saw that too and while I was confused for a second I realized that he’s there because people voted for him. Just like they voted for Conviction and The Kids Are All Right. I’ll say good for them.

Justin Timberlake: Honorary African-American (for his bringing back of sexy in 2006).

Didn’t see Conviction but I guess Mark Ruffalo’s girlfriend/fling at his restaurant made The Kids eligible.

Kris, do you think the Vancouver critics are sheep, too, because if you do, then you must think they did a ba-a-a-a-a-d job!

    (Sorry.)

What kind of organization is this anyways? Is it BET hip hop awards or something? Maby white people should make their own awards shows as well… oh wait, we have the oscars.

And it’s ridiculous to give Tyler Perry any nominations and awards at all. He should get a feisty spanking by Matt Damon instead for that insult of a film.

Surprised Johnny Depp wasn’t nominated though; they completely missed the boat on that one. What has the world come to?
