Soundtrack contest winner!

I see my little story contest wasn’t too popular with a scant 19 entries.  I don’t blame you.  I wouldn’t want to be writing stories during the holidays either.  I swear I won’t make you work that hard again!

Thanks to those who did participate.  At the end of the day, it was just a fun way to do away with the usual.  And my favorite of the stories was Kevin Hinman’s, which I thought smartly avoided getting too bogged down in the specifics of the three films and ultimately conveyed a swift, cogent tale that skimmed the plot lines well enough.

Kevin’s story:

He didn’t know why he was here. Yes, he did. Outta respect for the dead. The least Cobb could do is go to the kid’s funeral. Kid came in to his hospital, soaked in blood. Bike accident. Had to have an amputation. Cobb told his mother he would be fine. His mother with her long blond hair. Zel was her name, and Cobb told her the kid would be fine.

Beep.

Cobb slammed his alarm. On the bedside was an address – 127 Duvall Circle. The funeral was at 2:25. He would go after all, Cobb thought. Outta respect.

So, drop me a line with your address, Kevin.  You get the CDs!

I was wondering whatever happened to this contest, if it had been cancelled since not too many people participated or something like that. Anyways, congrats Kevin :) Enjoy the soundtracks ♫

As soon as I finished reading Kevin’s entry I immediately thought, “He ‘s going to win hands down.” Great post.

Yeah, I just assumed people stopped posting entries because Kevin’s kind of shut down the competition. Well-deserved.
