Phoenix strays, too

David Fincher’s “The Social Network” may be a firm fixture in my top 10, but any critics organization that opts out of flowing through the season like sheep is alright by me.  Yesterday, the Phoenix set joined those thin ranks by going with “The King’s Speech” for it’s Best Picture victor.

Interesting to see no “Black Swan” in Picture/Director.

Also interesting to see them opt for “I’ve Got a Dream” as their song pick for “Tangled.” There was one other organization that did this too, I believe.

And is that Natasha Bedingfield song really original?

How does Chloe Moretz win the breakthrough award when she is the most experienced of all 3 of those actresses (I believe the youngest too), and then lose best young femal performance? I would think if Steinfeld was better in her first role than Moretz in her 4th or 5th (and yes, largest), then Steinfeld would also win breakthrough. Although they are both great actresses and it is good to see the love spread around.

And they picked Restrepo, so I think that officially makes them awesome.
