I *love* all the year-end hate for Alice in Wonderland. Seeing it clean up at the box office and the mostly forgiving reviews had me worried. Fingers crossed for several Razzie nominations…

“Scott Mendelson betrays a shallow reach in his picks for 2010′s most overrated.”

What exactly do you mean by that? If you’re criticizing his choices of high-profile films, then I would say that any “overrated” list is – of course – going to contain the most popular films of the year. Doesn’t make much sense to focus on obscure titles. If you’re cranking on his analysis, well, it’s hard for me to respond to that since his write-ups are so short, but I’ll say that I definitely see where he’s coming from on Inception, The Kids Are All Right (and I’m glad he points to Kim Voynar’s excellent review), and, ahem, you-know-what.

Plus, anyone who singles out Pierce Brosnan’s performance in The Ghost Writer for praise, and describes Hailee Steinfeld as a LEAD in True Grit has at least *some* credibility in my book.

I agree with most of the Huffington Post piece, but putting Greenberg on there is silly. It is underrated, if anything.

Razzie nominations are meaningless. It’s just a bunch of forum posters with a hate bonner.

Robert: I was talking about his, IMO, rather thin reasoning for this or that.
