Full list is here. No “Carlos,” though “The Company Men” is on there. I had thought that was bumped to January entirely, without a qualifying run. Guess I was wrong (as I’m also seeing the ads pop up). I hope people see that one because it’s a good little film.

“Carlos” is ineligible because it aired in the U.S. first as a TV miniseries, right? This should mean it will be in contention at next year’s Emmys.

I doubt Carlos will qualify for the Emmys since it was made for, and aired first on, foreign television

That doesn’t stop all those Masterpiece Theatres from doing well at the Emmys…

Mike Fleming (Deadline) did a great interview piece with Anne Hathaway. I just adore Anne – she is talented , super-smart, incredibly articulate, and very humble. Hathaway will go very far in the movie business, especially the fact she doesn’t have a problem auditioning for movie roles.
Most actors that reach the A-list do not audition for film roles- they feel they are above the audition process. For example, I read a film article about Sandra Bullock wanting the Karen Sisco role in “Out of Sight” ( one of my favorites) , but she refused to audition. So, Jennifer Lopez auditioned and won the role- this is still Lopez’s most shining moment on film and her best acting performance to date.

So wait, is “Fish Tank” not eligible after all? I know it’s not going to be nominated for anything, but I thought I heard it confirmed that it was eligible.
