I honestly can’t see anything other than money being the reason Aronofsky would ever even be mentioned in the same breath as a project like that. I’m all for great directors challenging themselves and trying out something new, but seriously, Wolverine 2? It’s got about a one percent chance of not sucking, not to mention, does anyone want a sequel to Wolverine, does anyone want to see this?

I think Aronofsky really wants to do a superhero movie- after all he was either attached to or interested in directing films in the Batman, Robocop, and Superman franchises. But it does seem like he is just picking what is available in the genre, I’ll probably see Wolverine 2 but I have no excitement for it despite liking X-Men.

I really hope Michael Douglass has a full recovery. Would love to see him in good health and acting again.

I guess I was premature to call Aronofsky the greatest working director. This is saddening. Paul Thomas Anderson better not make a movie about The Flash next.

At the same time as Aronofsky probably shouldn’t do Wolverine, I’m really curious to see how that would unfold…

I am also extremely curious as to how the Aronofsky wolverine movie would look! It could be the greatest superhero movie of all time, or it could ruin his career. He certainly would bring some credibility to superhero movies!

My god what the hell is Darren Aronofsky doing! The Superman gig would’ve been alright, but please… a sequel to one of the worst superhero movies ever made?

Dude, I know you know better than that! Think!

I don’t know why people are so against Wolverine 2. I admit that the first one was awful and I don’t trust Fox.

However, a samurai story set in Japan, written by Christopher McQuarrie, directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Hugh Jackman sounds pretty cool. Fox has to give him complete creative control but I don’t know if that is possible.

An early summer 2012 release date also sounds reasonable in terms of giving Aronofsky enough time to develop the project.
