‘127 Hours’ poster

Posted by · 8:05 am · October 8th, 2010

Yesterday we got a look at an extended trailer for “127 Hours.” There was a poster bouncing around but I decided to hold out for a high res image, and that’s what we got today.  I like the hourglass vibe even if the overall design is a bit glossy for my tastes.  Have a look at the full image after the jump.

Clever use of the orange/blue contrast.

You have to hand it to them.

The imagery is really lovely, very eye-catching. Maybe not so representative of the film itself by what I understand, but it will surely attract people’s attention which is what it should do.

    I kinda like it.

    I dunno… It’s eye grabbing, I’ll give it that.

What a beauty. The trailers and the poster all look so promising. I can only hope its better than Slumdog.

The imagery and visuals all round look gorgeous. I’m wondering if its pretty enough to make a go at a cinematography win.

I like that they need to tell us it’s a “triumphant” true story (i.e.: “Don’t worry – he doesn’t die!”).

Very good. I think with the past posters for Slumdog Millionaire, The Wrestler, Crazy Heart, and (500) Days of Summer, Fox Searchlight does know how to put together a great poster.

from looking at this poster, the tagline should be:
“He has 127 Hours to Put his gonad back in his ball sack. And Get out. Alive.”

Really good… Impressive… The trailers and posters’ should speak for the film and should make the audience want to watch it.. 127 hours succeeds on that part… Can’t wait for this…

Interesting color theme.. Maybe a subliminal message? Blue=Heaven/Good so its on top because the sand on the upper side of an hourglass means time, the Orange/Red= Hell/Bad, sand on the bottom side of the hourglass means no time. Lol. I like the poster btw, and i really wanna see this movie :)
