‘Megamind’ poster

DreamWorks Animation’s “Megamind” is set to battle Disney’s “Tangled” for early holiday audiences this November.  The most recent trailer spoiled the movie for a great many but at least the poster is safe and, well standard.  Is there something that’s supposed to be subconsciously attractive about yellow, though?  Because consciously, it’s not doing it for me.  Check out the full image after the jump.

Yellow is warmth, happiness, joy, and the color of the sun.

Maybe they picked yellow because in color theory, it’s the compliment to Megamind’s dominant blue?

I don’t think they are making a DreamWorks face. It’s just that stylistically the designs closely invoke “Monsters Vs. Aliens” so that lends a degree of simillarity.

Looks fun though I personally preferred “Oobermind” as the title.

Pixar films are cinematic gold and modern day classics!! Dreamworks flicks, Ice Age sequels, The Incredibles knock-offs and Happy Feet as owls are pure pop trash!!!
