UK poster and trailer for ‘White Material’

Yes, I’m still pimping this. The runaway best film of 2010 (or 2009, depending on when you saw it) finally drops in the UK on July 2 — I’m already itching for another look. The trailer, after the cut, is much the same as the French one I featured in March, with the addition of subtitles and a choice Brit critic’s quote. (The quality is iffy, I’m afraid, but it’s the only link I could find.)

American readers, IFC is looking after you, but no release date is scheduled yet.

I saw this at the New York Film Festival last fall. I’m really interested to see it again because I don’t think I was quite in the right mindset at the time I saw it…a wonderful performance from Isabelle Huppert though.

Yeah, I called IFC about two weeks ago and they still didn’t have a release date. But they said it would be sometime this year. I wonder what is taking so long. In any case, I look forward to seeing Whit Material when it is released.

I have never been a big Denis fan, but 35 Shots of Rum was incredible. I anxiously await this as a result.

I’m so excited to see this. The last few things I’ve watched (or re-watched) Huppert in she has been cold and distant (though incredible, she’s always incredible), so I’m really looking forward to her digging her teeth into something that looks so forceful and dynamic.

    Bring on July 2!
