New ‘Inception’ trailer hits

Posted by · 12:56 pm · May 7th, 2010

I’m not the biggest fan of viral marketing, so the idea of playing a game in order to see the new “Inception” trailer just…rubs me wrong.  That’s just me.  But it was, along with the new “Super 8” trailer, the best part of “Iron Man 2,” so I wanted to pass it along.  UPDATE: It seems WB took the other link down and replaced it with the old trailer.  Here’s an embed:

Download it so you can play it through VLC. If you don’t have VLC you can find it using a quick Google search.

An unbelievable trailer. I had my doubts, but Nolan may have hit another home run.

Only good thing about Ironman 2. Amazing trailer. I won’t be surprised if this film takes most of the award noms.

If all goes well, Nolan is in a very good position for awards prospects.

Yes! I’m glad that Nolan likes ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.’ Now…perhaps Nolan “encouraged” Zimmer to mirror John Barry. Please, please.

Kristopher: After seeing this trailer, what’s the Oscar potential for Inception?

this trailer in front of iron man reminded me of that story about van halen opening up for black sabbath and van halen just totally pwning the headlining act.

This is far and away one of the best trailers I’ve seen for a film in quite some time. Nolan just knows how to make great films again and again. To be honest, what director in recent memory has as much of a consistent and fantastic track record as Christopher Nolan? None that I can think of. I’m going to put it out there and say that this will be nominated for a ton of awards, including Best Picture (a shoe-in in a field of ten) and Director.

Unless these guys know how to make a trailer from nothing, then this movie can’t be bad.

    @ #13

The people who made the Spider-Man 3 and Pearl Harbor trailers would disagree with you…

That said, it’s an awesome trailer and I hope the movie is even better.

Oscar watch: Editor Lee Smith. The Way Back and Inception. Two epics. Wow. Kudos.

Picked up on that when I assembled the contenders section. I can’t recall if an editor has been nommed twice in one year, but it could certainly happen for Smith.

When I open it, the video is for the old trailer and the sound is delayed by nearly 5 seconds. Are there any alternate links?

This looks like they took Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and smashed it together with a Summer Action film…and I bet it will be fantastic.

Don’t know if they took all the action out of the film and put it in this trailer but it looks exciting and tense as hell to me. And the acting looks first rate all ’round. Is it just me or does DiCaprio seem a bit like Tom Cruise in this? Although I do think overall he’s a better actor.
