Well, she said she would. (Video footage of her terrific acceptance speech after the cut.)

Did anyone ever see The Net? That movie’s great.

Good for her. (Note to Chad: remember your “guarantee” she wouldn’t do this?)

I love Bullock even more now.

This just won her the Oscar. (okay, that was obligatory)
Still a very cool acceptance speech.

God I love her SO MUCH.
She doesn’t deserve to win the Oscar (it’s Carey Mulligan’s all the way) but if she does I won’t be bitter at all.

This woman is much funnier when she’s herself. Why does she insist on acting?
3-07-2010 at 4:12 am
UGH, she is so LIKEABLE. It kills me.

Brian, “The Net” is THE most dated movie in history (well, except for, as of this year, “2010”) and yet it is never not entertaining and hilarious and totally indicative of a certain era for mainstream thrillers. That movie wouldn’t make a dime today, sadly.

Yeah, the haters can dislike the fact that she’s taking the Oscar, but can’t dislike the person here-she’s clever, smart, and a generous person who can take both the Oscar and the Razzie with a sense of perspective. Glad she showed up (I think people would think more highly of other actors if they did as well).

Yeah I’ve always known Sandra is lovely but that shouldn’t be a reason to give her something like an Academy Award I mean come on! that would just transform the Oscars into a People Choice award and we already have one of those so, they should award the best, which is anyone but Sandra.

Yeah! Just like Paul Verhoeven.

Cool. She might not be an Oscar actress but she is the most fun person to watch this season.

That was awesome, funny and clever.
BTW, razzies are stupid, worst award that is.They enver award trully deserving people. Like orlando Bloom. he should`ve won for his entire body of work, yet he unexplicably dodged the bullet for each and every of his shitty performances. Must be some big donation going on behind the curtains.

the woman is amazing and I’ve loved her forever, and now this? Even more reasons why I don’t want her to win, she’ll be an Oscar joke for years to come (Gwyneth, Helen who?) thanks to that Oscar…would much rather wait for another shot which I’m sure she’ll get sooner or later.

My lord, that dude’s camel toe blinded me. Who still wears jeans that tight?

I wonder if Razzies will have balls to nominate and award Depp for the Wost Actor in AIW. What a trainwreck of a performance!
3-07-2010 at 8:31 am
It’s strange. She probably didn’t give the best performance by a longshot, but I really just want to see her win tonight. I’ve had a crush on her for years now. How can you not like her?
3-07-2010 at 9:42 am
She NEVER should have said she would show up, but you have to admit, she gives a great speech and I hope that wins the Oscar tonight! and I hope that the razzies take back the award next year (as she made a deal)….

I thought Johnny Depp was MAD in Alice in Wonderland… The way that the Mad Hatter should be played..
Oh well congrats to Sandra Bullock, I hope to see Meryl get her 3rd golden statuette later!

She’s not an actress with serious dramatic chops but neither are a lot of other Oscar winning starlets. I like that a woman of a certain age can still win Oscars – makes me wish we had a Jessica Tandy type to reward these days.

Even though she doesn’t truly deserve to win the Oscar for The Blind Side, it’s just impossible to not like her and I’m sure I’ll be thrilled anyway when/if it happens, just because she’s so damn lovable.
Plus, it’s just nice to see a big Hollywood A-lister who is able to poke fun at themselves and own up to bad movies and performances.

ugh: “By the way, in a move only Nicolas Chartier could truly appreciate, Wilson admitted that he sent e-mails to Razzie voters “nudging” them to vote for Sandra Bullock in “All About Steve” for Worst Actress. She had publicly said she would show up to accept if she won, so of course with Wilson’s helpful e-mail she did Saturday night despite stiff competition from Megan Fox, Miley Cyrus and Beyonce. When I ran into about-to-be-Oscar-winner Bullock later at The Night Before benefit for the Motion Picture and Television Fund she said she knew it was rigged but went along with it anyway, although still quite understandably perplexed at how she could possibly have beaten Megan Fox’s emoting in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.”
