Stop the presses: ‘Avatar’ sweeps VES

ZOMG!  Well, actually, it wasn’t a clean sweep, as “District 9” managed to win in the compositing category (one of many that saw “Avatar” as a multiple nominee).  But it was unsurprisingly dominated by Cameron and company throughout, with six awards going to the blockbuster.  Go to The Circuit to see the damage.

(Also, while I’m at it, any word out there on the International Film Music Critics Association’s list of winners, which was supposed to have been announced Friday?  That’s literally the last precursor left standing at the moment.)

Saw that. Bizarre. Trying to one-“up” Pixar, I imagine.

The IFMCA had to delay the announcement of our results until this afternoon. We apologize for neglecting to update the website with the new date. Look for our list of winners later today. :)

I laughed because Kris wrote “ZOMG.” I’m easily amused.

Great question! here is a list of many difeerfnt ways:1. wrap it in old newspaper. It actually looks really funky if u spruce it up with some old ribbon.2. instead of getting new ribbon find old clothes and strip them.3. find old cardboard boxes from when u last moved, boxes that computers come in and stuff and supe them up with organic paint! it looks totally chic4. find giftbags from last year and the years before. reuse them! simple as that.hope i helped! good luck with havin a green christmas
