Mariah Carey lit up in Palm Springs

Harmless, but she’ll probably get derided here and there.  I laughed.  What’s more interesting is the fact that I don’t think I’ve ever seen an awards presenter stick around and add commentary to an award recipient’s acceptance speech.

Anyway, have a look:

And here’s the AP story declaring this news.

Being the type of person that I am, I would normally rail her at this time.

However, I was honestly impressed with her performance in Precious. She is truthfully a talented actress, or at least potentially one.

It was a small role, but she made the best of it.

So….congrats, Ms. Carey, and when the spaceship lands, may your career be just as fruitful when you head back to Zamblar.

Poor woman, she’s obviously overwhelmed. Good for her I suppose.

Alcoholism should be more encouraged at awards ceremonies, not less.

This is why no one ever gives Harrison Ford awards.

I don’t care, she was great in Precious and I even didn’t like the film. But Carey was memorable.
