‘Crazy Heart’ poster

A week after Patrick Goldstein rubbed some folks at Fox wrong for reporting false release information on “Crazy Heart,” he gets the poster exclusive.  Go figure.  Anyway, I love it.  Have a look below.  The trailer for the film will land Monday, by the way.

The resemblance to Kris Kristofferson is, I presume, intentional. Anyway, I like the Nashville album-cover look.

He has a Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams thing going throughout.

I don’t know, I think “Heart is crazy!” would be a better tagline.

Beautiful poster, but is it just me, or are they really working the “Wrestler” angle by using the same colours.

Wow, I’m getting major “Wrestler” flashbacks here. Lead actor gets major buzz, a comeback role of sorts, poster and trailer released at the very end of the year, ‘similar’ (?) storylines.

    Anyway, very nice.

I have this strange feeling that there are 3 Actors who have the best chances to win in the category “Best Leading Actor”!

    They are:

Colin Firth in “A Single Man”
    Morgan Freeman in “Invictus”
Jeff Bridges in “A Crazy Heart”

“Comeback role of sorts” – are you kidding me??? Only last year Bridges was a fantastic nemesis to “Iron Man”! The man’s always working. The only people who can consider this a “comeback” are those who’ve been willfully ignorant of Bridge’s work. Sure, not all his films have been commercially successful, but Bridges is one of the most consistent artists around. “Seabiscuit” wasn’t that long ago. His campfire scene with Chris Cooper was one for the ages – two underappreciated masters of their craft, doing their thing.
