The movie is quite good, but falls apart in the final act (the Colin Farrell sequence specifically). Still, it’s just so good to watch a movie that is inventive and interested in itself (unlike so many movies in which even the costume designers seem bored – hello Young Victoria).
It SHOULD be a shoo-in for Art Direction and Costume nominations. Make-up SEEMS logical, but that branch is the strangest of them all.

The foreign posters were better.
Also, shame about Andrew Garfield being relegated to the bottom-right corner.

The white UK one with the focus on the female redhead is the best.

This is playing at the European Film Festival at the AFI Theater this weekend, I’m hoping to see it.

I had no idea Tom Waits was in this. Epic win.

Since this is about Dr. Parnassus, and the picture on the poster is in this next clip…

Is it just me, or does Heath kind of sound like the Joker there?

Glenn: I concur. Despite the mess that is the final act, I still couldn’t help but love it.
The Other Ryan: Tom Waits is totally awesome in this film. He plays THE DEVIL. You’ll love it.

Chris, his mouth movements and eyes are even more Joker-ish in that scene than his voice, although the voice kinda sounds Joker-ish as well.
