‘Green Zone’ trailer

I hear it plays like a great action film, probably not awards.  Which makes the 2010 bump make a little more sense (not to mention the fact that it needs to make money).  Here’s the first trailer:

Incredibly disappointing trailer. I felt like I’d seen it all a hundred times before.

I wouldn’t worry, Chad. Of course Fellner and Bevan and company are privy to the fact that Iraq movies usually don’t make money, so they’re making it look like Bourne in Baghdad. That’s fine and understandable. Greengrass isn’t just making an action film.

Yeah, looks more like a good action film than an awards level war epic, though (perhaps I’m crazy) I think Bourne 3 may have had a shot at a BP nom with 10 slots since it had strong critical support and it seems like the academy responded to the film.

Great cast, good director, boring trailer. I am on the fence.

Yeah, I’m not so thrilled about that trailer either. It seems too much like Bourne 4 and less like an Iraq war movie. At least I hope it’s better than Body of Lies, which was such a “meh” movie.

Are we sure this isn’t footage cobbled together from Bloody Sunday, the Bourne series and United 93? Get some new schtick Greengrass!

It looks like a fine actioner with brains to me. Moving it away from the Oscars is a wise move. That way we can just simply enjoy it without people just gushing their dissapointment because it ain’t BP worthy.

I really want Greengrass to diversify his brand.

Enough with the handicam action flicks. How about a Jane Austin novel?

Wow, this looks absolutely nothing like I expected. I haven’t read the source material, but are we really supposed to buy that Jason Bourne has found himself in Iraq and Blackbriar is now called Magellan?

I actually thought this might be a real take on life within the Green Zone. What a letdown.

here is the UK trailer. It’s a totally different look…less Bourne like in my opinion. I like this one better.

Im confused…cause I thought Green Zone was suppose to be intelligent and chic…this looks like a fun brainless action movie. I hope Greengrass is just making fun of us with that trailer

Of course Universal is going to play this up as being a Bourne-style film when it stars Matt Damon and is directed by Paul Greengrass. You could’ve seen that coming a hundred miles away, and to be honest, even if it’s probably misleading to some degree, you really can’t blame them because they’re in the business of getting people in the seats. As long as the actual product isn’t completely different, which I don’t think it will be judging by the footage, I think that’s fair.

The UK trailer certainly looks more truthful, but I can certainly see the US trailer getting more butts in seats.

    Either way, can’t wait.

well,I think people shouldnt be misleading by Universal’s promoting way .
universal studios may make the trailer looking
similar to Bourne,so that they can attract more
    Bourne fans to the cinema.
