I guess this was bound to happen. It’s folly to think that an independent studio can go at it on it’s own in today’s landscape without hitching their wagon to one of the big boys.

I’m good with this. Disney has stayed “hands-off” in their relationship with Pixar specifically in the creative process, and I’m fairly confident the same freedom will be extended to Marvel. Marvel benefits from this because their reach will expand even more when they are heavily marketed and promoted across Disney’s media arms.

Kind of weird, but I’m a DC Comics guy anyway. There’s Batman & Superman- everything else is just meh.

Why is that Aaron? Pirates was a pretty violent trilogy. Iron Man was certainly not much more violent or PG than those films.

Anyhow, this while thing is weird but something that offers some truly great opportunities. Especially with Pixar possibly making comic-adaptations. And this might also be the way to vamp up the theme parks with some truly awesome new rides and characters.

But Universal already has a Marvel section of the park at their Islands of Adventure. I wonder how this will affect them.

Just watch the typical fanboy rants going on: Mickey Mouse in X-Men movies, Goofy in Spiderman movies, etc..

Last time I checked, Donald Duck never appeared in ESPN sportscenter, Aladdin never appeared in Nightline, Snow White is not doing the weather in GMA, and Belle never appeared in ABC shows like Grey’s Anatomy, etc…
