I second that Eddy. I’ve been digging Ellen page since I saw her in “Hard Candy”, and that’s saying something considering the things her character did in that film.

Well…. the cast is great. Not sure about the trailer or premise. But Ellen Page is a phenomenal actress, and I love Kristin Wiig and Marcia Gay Harden. Though this isn’t really the follow up to Juno I was hoping to see her in. Oh well.

I love Ellen Page, and Kristin Wiig is possibly the funniest woman on the planet, so that’s good. Awesome to see Andrew Wilson in something too, I’ve always enjoyed him for his brief cameos in Wes Anderson’s movies. Interesting that she’s using Robert Yeoman, Anderson’s DP, too. And Dylan Tichenor, editor extraordinaire, who did The Royal Tenenbaums amongst other things.

The movie looks interesting. Better than expected.

Wiig is the lone and true highlight of the current SNL cast; her versatility is astounding, really.

Oh… and the trailer seems harmless, surprisingly not horrible, daresay fun (?!).

I was waiting for a clue that this is not a stupid movie but this trailer showed no mercy. Ellen Page, don’t waste your talent. It only takes a few bad choices for us to forget you were ever interesting.

I love how Eve seems so out of place in that one !
As if black girls didn’t have anything better to do than fooling around with crazy white Canadian dykes !

    to emily:

About Kristin Wiig, every single thing she does on SNL makes me laugh (especially the recent sketch with the baby hands. basically I peed myself.) Also any cameo she does i find particularly funny. She runs a careful balance of over-the-top, while being somewhat understated. It’s something new and unexpected, and always gets me laughing. I can’t think of another actress currently who does that, while showing such true versatility. And do remember, I said “possibly” so if one your friends or something is funnier, I believe that’s possible. I just don’t know that person.

Eh. Okay, I guess. I’ll see it, but I’m not giddy or anything. Page looks good, though.

I had a crush with Ellen Page when Juno came out. So wherever she is, I have to see that movie.

Anyway she is a great actress and this movie is not awful acording what the trailer shows, so I (obviously) give it a try.

    re: Andrew L.

This type of film is the opposite of “harmless” in my opinion.
