Whenever Baron Cohen makes public appearances as Bruno you expect something over-the-top, absolutely ridiculous and when it’s anything less it’s easy to shrug off.

I think Cohen had some anecdotes set up, but he actually went off script a few times, just to screw with Conan…’cause Conan reacted rather awkwardly on numerous occasions (wasn’t quick to respond).

Obviously the dance was pre-planned, but Conan probably didn’t know how far “Bruno” would go…thus the laughter.

I can’t even imagine what would happen if “Bruno” tried to do his sexy dance on Letterman…he’d REALLY be out of his element.

Looks like it won’t come to that, as Cohen is appearing as himself on Letterman July 7th.

It was funny but some of it fell pretty flat. The audience felt uncomfortable and didn’t know what to make of him in character. Hard to believe when you look at him that thats the same guy who was Borat.

the character isn’t half as funny as Borat, but I really hope Universal Studios finally gets a hit after making the daring and unheard of move of scheduling no sequels for the summer season

Anyone notice how much is voice was slipping during the interview? It didn’t sound like the Bruno from the clips. It just sounded more like Sacha a lot of the time.
