Although I don’t understand why this series is so popular and I hated the first movie, technically this might end up a bit better. Sure, the source material still sucks and it has the same screen writer, but Chris Weitz is a much better director than Catherine Hardwicke (although I’ll never forgive him for what he did to “The Golden Compass”) and Alexandre Desplat is writing the score. It will still be a failure, but not as big as bis a failure as the previous one.

“not as big as bis a failure…” Wow. Some kinda typo, Mr.F. Just had to point it out. :P

This’ll be an okay movie, I think. *sarcasm*

So if you’re so against it, as you rightly should be, why did you even post this?

Slow news day. And, truthfully, an experiment. I’m curious what the traffic spike will be, if anything, for 10:31 this morning.

Yeah, it used to be that all you needed was some candy.

Frankly, I see no difference between a movie like New Moon and a movie like Wolverine. Which is why I’m labeled a snob I suppose, but seeing these comments makes me think that term is all relative.

Wolverine and Twilight are both terrible terrible movies. Wolverine, however, comes from better source material, which technically means people should hate it more. The source material for Twilight and New Moon is crap in the first place. Really just some of the worst stuff I’ve ever read (though I haven’t read New Moon, I have read Twilight, regrettably.)

So I don’t know what I’m saying. Stephenie Meyer, the books, and Gavin Hood should all be thrown in the garbage. Alexandre Desplat is scoring this? Wow, step down for him, just like it was for Carter Burwell, who turned in one of the worst scores of last year with Twilight.

There is little more that I hate than “Twilight” and what it represents for our society in regards to both literature and film. It infuriates me to no end. I tried to read the book last summer and felt as though I was reading a book designed to teach 3rd graders how to read chapter books. It was appalling.

Desplat score is gonna lend it at least some credibility. Though not Desplat himself.

You know what really sucks? Twilight is the ‘front runner’ for the best movie MTV award this weekend. Not that the MTV Movie Awards matter in the first place, but still, it sucks.

Kristopher, please don’t do this again. ‘In Contention’ is above such discussions. Thank you. :)
