Is Quentin Tarantino petty enough to cast him in Inglourious Basterds for the sole purpose of making this poster?

He can’t even get sneering right. Imagine what a real actor like Eric Bana could have done with this.

Alex: That sounds like a solid theory to me.

I think Eli may play this part the way QT intended, so I am going to wait until this film is out (or reviews come in from Cannes) to pass judgement. But I am a QT apologist so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I also liked the Hostel series for what they were…

Why didn’t QT cast Zach Quinto in this role instead? He looks just like Roth, but he can actually…ya know…act.

Sometimes I ask myself why this movie was even made.

They should rename this film Dubious Morons.

Somehow this will end up my favorite film of the year. The world is twisted like that.

Harmonica: Don’t you mean “Doubius Moruns?”

    Burma,
Why do you assume that he’s trying to sneer. Looks like a smirk to me.

Contrary to the opinion of this site, I can’t wait for this movie; personally loved the script.

At least Tarantino is casting some other director to do terrible acting instead of himself this time.

It would have been very ‘meta’ to cast Eric Bana in this after Munich – very QT.

Still looking forward to the film, mostly out of curiosity, but damn, that poster is awful.

I was hoping Eli Roth wasn’t one of the main characters and was merely in one of those smallish “here, you’re my mate so have a small part in my movie” type of gigs. Alas, it appears it is not. Ugh. I hate this guy.
