    “Gluttony” is now one of two words I’m not sure you understand the meaning of. The other is “dichotomy.”

    Maybe “voracity” might have worked better for you. Or simply “excess.” Different meanings, same point.

    I’m afraid I have to agree with Ringo; ‘gluttony’ is simply not right in this context. There’s no one eating to excess in that photo. Furthermore, ‘voracity’ simply means extreme gluttony.

    “Gluttony” is not limited to food, friends. It serves nicely as a synonym for “excessive indulgence.”

    Gluttony doesn’t necessarily refer to excessive eating, but it does usually refer to excessive consumption. It’s kind of an odd word to use in this context.
