Since it’s a level-headed assessment of another journalist’s work and not the bitching and shouting that has come to color similar exchanges, I think it is important to pass along two links: Bill Wyman calls foul on Nikki Finke’s re-editing of a story that got the facts wrong, and Patrick Goldstein links to same, giving more from his side of the story and giving Finke the chance to comment.

This is probably the only time the words “important” and “Twilight” should be mentioned in the same sentence. Which is, of course, only because this story has very little to do with the film.

This is actually incredibly eye-opening. I was aware of a growing anti-Nikki Finke sentiment amongst the “established journalistic order,” but I chalked it all up to competitive jealousy… and I was unimpressed with the available “evidence” for their cries of foul. But this… this is just inexcusable. And completely unexplainable on her part! Lo and behold, she indeed has not addressed any of it on her blog. Shame on you, Nikki Finke!
