Uh…

So this is the apparent pay-off for all the cloak and dagger mystery surrounding this year’s Oscar presenters? So that, as we wait with bated breath, the curtain can rise on the heartstoppingly awe-inspiring likes of — golly, gosh, wow, gee, etc — Robert Pattinson?

Okay, I’m not a pre-teen girl, so forgive me if I didn’t just wet my pants in anticipation. But I hope Bill Condon and Laurence Mark have some more interesting aces up their sleeves than the stars of “Twilight.” Otherwise, y’know, why all the secrecy?

Yeah. I first saw this mentioned over at Awards Daily, and my first thought was, “Well, another negative about to the ‘new’ Oscars.” And this is coming from a not so negative person. Robert Pattinson? Really? Oh man. I agree with you, Guy. I hope they have some worthy presenters.

It’s not so much Pattinson himself — the Oscars have always mixed a bit of transitory fluff into the presenting lineup. I just don’t understand why you’d go to all the effort to keep such names a secret.

Uhm on a sidenote it’s total proof todays teens have no taste whatsoever. That man is the most hideous looking ugly being I’ve seen in film over the past year.

LAME. The only people I care about seeing are Gary Oldman, Daniel Day Lewis, and Johnny Depp. What’s the bloody fascination with this Pattinson fellow?

I have a sneaking suspicion that this years telecast will be quite cringe-worthy. Here’s to looking forward to next year!

I hope they get Woody Allen. THAT would be worth the surprise.

Or how about Malick? It’d never happen, and it wouldn’t exactly boost ratings but it’d be cool as fuck. I’ve never even seen that guy move. I’ve only seen like two pictures.

Alright, stop picking on Rob already! He’s a young actor at the beginning of his career and I have a feeling he’s gonna be great someday. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing him portray Salvador Dali in his upcoming indie flick “Little Ashes”.
