Ugh Penn. I hate how these things turn my second favorite performance into something I root against. But I really was hoping his fellow actors would go for Mickey.

Guy, I can’t seem to open this site on Internet Explorer but works fine on Firefox. Someone else at Awardsdaily was also complaining about this.

wd: Seems to work fine on my version of IE. Not sure what’s up. Will it not load at all?

Yeah, can’t say I have a problem either, WD. Around the end of the SAG Awards, however, there was a lot of traffic on the site, which may have had something to do with it?

It’s around this time in the awards season that I begin to feel rather blah about all the results, as if I’ve been expecting them this whole time. Rourke would have been the more inspired choice, but at least I don’t feel the overwhelming sense of blan-ness at the Penn outcome that I do with the Streep and Winslet. (But at least it wasn’t Winslet and Winslet.) Oddly enough, although Ledger has been justly winning supporting actor left and right, seeing his name still doesn’t give me the blahs – unfortunately due to the fact that he can’t accept his award.

    Great blog, by the way.

This is Meryl Streep’s year! She is coming strong for the Big O next month. She is one of the greatest living actress around, she gave a fantastic performance in Doubt, give it to her for one last time!
