By popular demand…kind of

Alright, I’ve buckled and kinda sorta updated the predictions since so many readers have been asking.  The list in the sidebar has been updated, however, the charts have not.  I’ll hold off on that until Monday’s column, but it made sense to go ahead and bring this stuff up to speed, so there we are.

Hardy, from her nomination for The Golden Age, I learned to never underestimate the appeal of the great Cate

I might be a little late, but what’s with the inclusion of Will Smith?

The Woody Allen thing just confuses me… not only is the film forgettable and pretty darn average, but there is absolutely nothing unique or impactful about the direction… I can’t see the Academy nominating him this year, not for THIS film anyway. It’s just… plain. Plain, TV-movie direction doesn’t get you Oscar nominated. I would be incredibly, wildly shocked if he was one of the 5 this year.

Hardy: No. Critics don’t vote for Oscars.

JAB: That’s a drastic mistake on my part. I’ll amend. Not sure why I took it off there. Probably a slip.
