I just don’t get it. Can’t the Pink Mafia leave well alone. I supported Prop. 8, so therefore I am a homophobic person (sarcasm). Listen, I have gay friends who knew how I voted, and yes, they were upset but I told them even though I voted this way, does not mean I think less of them. I just don’t agree with their lifestyle choices; I tolerate it. Marriage is between a man and a women. Plain and simple. Just because one psychologically confused minority wants to change definitions of a highly-valued sacrament, does not make it right. Gay couples can have their tax breaks, be able to visit their partners in the hospital, and adopt children. In a secular government, gay couples are recognized by the law. But to take a valued institution and try to redefine it, I can not support those actions.

    I’ll say.

Wish I could sign the petition, but I’m not a Californian. I give my full support to those trying to override Prop 8 though.

Oh and Jackson – Arizona and Florida joined California in banning gay marriage while Arkansas passed an amendment to ban gay couples from adopting. What would happen if we started passing laws like this based on race?

Obama winning and Prop 8 passing are not mutually exclusive.

African-Americans turned out in record numbers to vote for Obama, and since most are church-going Christians, they overwhelmingly voted for Prop 8.

That is why in Arizona, where the same proposition failed 2 years ago, was passed this year.
