Reader David sent this into us over the weekend (apparently elsewhere as well). I’m just now able to get it up, so if you haven’t seen it yet:

Somebody, please explain me one thing: when such picture – an adult woman and an underaged boy, both seemingly naked, taking bath etc. – appeared in Internet 4 years ago – it was a paedophilia label in USA and disaster in the US box-office. And now, in 2008, everybody’s talking about how tender, powerful and cool this picture is. And I agree – I love this shot of Hanna and Michael, as much as I loved this scene in the book, Der Vorleser, I read it in German (English is not my native language, so excuse me my mistakes), and I was, and still am, absolutely crazy about Glazer’s Birth, but still have my question unanswered. Did american audience grew up since then? Or is it just double standards?
