But “Titanic” was the first one to have this poster:

i have a feeling this movie will be much less sexual than brokeback, notes, or titanic though…

That’s the problem with all the marketing for The Soloist so far. It all feels so…cliche. Still holding out hope that Joe Wright will knock it out of the park. The man can do no wrong in my book…yet.

Way to take it literally, Speaking.

I think I’m going to hunker down over the week and read through Lopez’s articles before diving into the book. I expect this one will start screening soon.

Perhaps this means both Foxx and Downey are getting Oscar nominations.

I hardly think Titanic was “first,” Nicolas. Faces on a poster… it’s not the most unique concept, after all.

Incidentally, the “Dead Man Walking” poster fits neatly into the pattern — and with the Z’s theory… LOL

I love the “Notes on a Scandal” poster because it actually looks like Judi and Cate’s faces are becoming one. The other two do not.

“The Soloist” looks really…gooey. Joe Wright better have done something extraordinary with what he was given.

Well, yes, Guy. You’re right. I meant the first out of the posters we’re discussing.

The only way I see Soloist being nominated is a la Finding Neverland and shame on you if Downey Jr get the attention for this instead of Iron Man or Tropic.

We do indeed, Mr Gittes. I don’t know how I missed that comment when you made it, but it’s the truest thing that’s been said round here for some time.

And he’s a fine interview, too:

Actually, I used this as an excuse to move that interview over (as I’ll be doing with all pertinent materials, eventually) from the old site:

Oh yeah, I remember that interview but had forgotten it was on this site. I agree, he’s great to talk to — not that I interviewed him, but I had kind of a tutorial with him at the LFS. Lovely guy.
