Check out the film’s buzz page for the latest. It looks like that tip about Downey dominating the film may have panned out.

Hmmm…It may be bait, I mean Joe Wright is a”master baiter” as far as making movies that appeal to the academys sensibilites but I just can’t not love Downey. I would just love for him to win in reward for the year he’s had. It’s so good to have him back.

I don’t know. I have high expectations for Wright to deliver something really good here, but the trailer makes me less excited to see the movie now.

I know it’s all a bit repetitive to praise RDJ, but for a trailer for a movie I had little interest, it looks like he’s potentially excellent here. There’s 2 or 3 very brief glimpses at sequences that look to be very powerful/emotional (i.e. Oscar clips).

Check it out. Jamie Foxx, The Soloist, look retarded, act retarded, not retarded. Schizophrenic? Sure. Not retarded.

This just doesn’t feel like Best Picture material to me.

Perhaps something for Downey, but that Best Actor race sure is getting crowded.

Wow, Downey sure looks impressive. Looks like an emotional film though. Then again, so did Atonement and P&P.

Who knows with this movie or any other trailer for a movie,so for me judge either way is hard to do.Some movies have a great trailer and turn out like crap, then some others don’t look like much but wind up being oscar material I’m a fan of both Foxx and Downey but time will tell if this is good or not.

I was not impressed by this. Also, RDJ doesn’t look like he is giving it his all like he did in Iron man or Tropic Thunder, but then again, its just a trailer.

Rob (not Rob Scheer): That was awesome.

I think it looks amazing. Iron Man and Tropic Thunder were different movies. You can’t compare them to this. Downey looks astounding.

RDJ looks good in it, but doesn’t look what I expecting. Can’t put my finger on why though, just looks a little blah to me. Maybe similar to Pursuit of Happiness or something…

Milk trailer was def better… but its Joe Wright so we’ll see.

Jamie Foxx seemed really good in the trailer, Oscar always loves those transformative performances, I think he will be great.

This looks like as so many here have already said total bait! We got the guy with mental problems that helps the “normal” person see the world better. Nothing here impressed me.

I think we can all agree this looks like bait, but it appears — at least to me — to be the kind of bait the Academy DOES, and will, go for if executed well enough.

I missed the memo that said I had to fawn over Robert Downey Jr. and his amazing story. But I thought he was okay in Tropic Thunder, never saw Iron Man and now thanks to this trailer, know to avoid The Soloist at all costs.

    what’s wrong with you?
is there anybody here that still like emotives movies? because for what i read it appears that not.
i’m really waiting for a movie that can touch my heart and if this is a true story i don’t think that can be so hard to do it… i really love the trailer and now it’s my second most-awaited movie of the year, just after “The Curious Case of BB”.
By the way I love this website… xD
