I guess it confirms my feeling that I might be in the minority in this one. At the screening I went to, I heard lots of grumbling around me afterwards. But I thought it was absolutely brilliant. I could see how people that aren’t big Spike Lee fans might be thrown off by some of the broadness, but I rolled with it.
I think the scene with John Leguizamo is kind of a good example; if you hate that scene, you probably will hate the movie. I, of course, thought that scene was a great, playful moment.
