I don’t know if this has popped up elsewhere before, but reading through the nominees for the upcoming World Soundtrack Awards at /Film (which include “WALL-E”‘s first nod of the year), I totally fell in love with this shot of “There Will Be Blood” composer Jonny Greenwood melded with a scene from the flick. Check it out:

How embarassing that his score was ineligible.
I still say, were the Oscars held a month later, “Blood” would have stolen it.

Not quite sure what purpose these awards serve – the timing is so odd, for one thing – but they sure have better taste than the Academy.
Nice to see some love for ‘Do You Feel Me,’ even if I still can’t remember it from the film.

They’re as guilty as everone else of ignoring Desplat’s incredible “Lust, Caution” score, though.

An ignoring Jesse Jame’s…
Why is there only 1 movie fr0m 2008, doesn’t Wall-E seem out of place, what is the release date eligibility?

I gotta agree with Mike here, the Jesse James score is one of the most incredible I have ever heard and the snub was horrible. The final track on the CD (“Song for Bob”) still gives me goosebumps. Was the score ineligible because it had two composers?
