…and pray that “The Dark knight” can manage to stay on top this weekend rather than be dethroned by the worst film of the year so far.
Let’s all hold our breaths…

Thankfully it seems to have turned the trick. Pineapple Express looks to be the film that will dethrone the Knight.

and The Dark Knight lives to fight another day…Incredible. What a ferocious animal. I’m going in for the fourth time tonight.

WILL Pineapple de-throne TDK? I think if TDK can make $30+ next weekend (using the second Pirates as a comparison, that might be possible), I think Pineapple would be hard-pressed to take it down. Tropic Thunder the following weekend, however, will do it. Thoughts?

I’m lousy at box-office predictions, I admit – I completely underestimated The Dark Knight’s performance, for starters.
But isn’t Pineapple Express a bit too niche to topple it, even this late in TDK’s run?

Not with everyone overrating and overhyping it for reasons that are beyond me.

Perhaps, perhaps not. Maybe a fourth weekend at the top is in order. All for it!

That might be internet-reality, though, rather than just regular-reality. There’s an enormous difference. To me, in the real world, it’s feeling a little under-the-radar. I’m not sure people really know what it is since the ads aren’t allowed to come right out and SAY what it is.

That is true, but even at the Cinema Expo it was being presented as something huge. But we’ll see.
