Do webmasters really think that a boycott is going to be a blip on Variety’s radar?

Apparently. I’m curious if a plummet in site hits will make a dent.

I don’t think Variety depends on hits from web sources, to be quite honest. First and foremost, their infrastructure is built on a rather dedicated print subscriber base that pays upwards of $400 per year to have it show up at their door. Industry people. And old school film folks.
The web geek world shunning the site isn’t going to be a big deal, and as a member of that world, I wish the Weintraubs — who have a very legitimate beef — would try to throw less tantrums and concentrate on the work, as always.
