Curious about ‘Hulk’ opinions…

With the weekend behind us, I never got a real assessment (and computer problems have made communication a bit difficult).  What did everyone think?

More comic book (action & camp) than the first one (except for the comic book aesthetic of the first one with the split frames, etc.) and it has a very strong cast. I liked it. I don’t have too much else to say about it.

Unfortunately, I watched it with the worst cinema audience ever… so I was a bit distracted.

I liked it a lot. I didn’t think I would, so it was a pleasant surprise. William Hurt is, of course, phenomenal.

It was enjoyable, better than Lee’s (better in the aspect of a comic book movie) not as good as Iron Man of course, I enjoyed it…

Forgot to add – I cant wait to see all of the deleted scenes on the Blu-Ray, I think there was like 70 min of cut stuff and some of it was darker and that is the stuff Norton was pushing for, that will be interesting to see.

I too am really interested in the director’s cut.

There were parts I liked, parts I felt ambivalent or annoyed about (the two or three seconds of footage that made it NOT a sequel bugged the shit out of me).

I preferred the cast of Ang Lee’s, the action and romance of this one, and the score (although I thought Armstrong’s was strong) and the several simply stunning moments from Ang Lee’s.

    I’d give it 2.5 or 3 out of 4.

I really liked the film. I thought it was better than Iron Man, but only slightly. Perhaps because this wasn’t an origin story, which is a real treat these days.
The action was the best of the film, and some of the best I’ve seen all year. Just a great heap of fun and a story that never irritated me. Nice characters being well played by good actors is really Marvel’s biggest asset. And the cameo’s of course.

Oh, and I believe the director said there won’t be a DC and that all those scenes will just be put on the dvd as bonus materials.
It’s also a bit odd that Leterrier said there was a scene with Captain America that was cut, but next comes some producer claiming there never was such a scene shot. Strange.

I really enjoyed it. Conventional and predictable, yes, but I didn’t give a crap. I wanted it to be. WAY better than the unmitigated disaster that was Ang Lee’s “Hulk”. Everything was better about it in my opinion.
